Headaches and migraines are all to common in many of our lives.  The pain associated from a headache can be anything from a dull annoyance to a crippling pain that can leave you incapacitated.  Some people are lucky enough to avoid headaches altogether, but research shows that only about 1% of people avoid getting a headache in a year.

The spontaneous and non-regular headache is something that many of us get, and we take care of it by taking aspirin or Tylenol or something along those lines, and for most of us, that gets the job done.  Now for those that get regular headaches, once a week, twice a month, or possibly more frequently, maybe its time to try a different approach.

Instead of having to deal with your headache after the fact, why not try a different approach and try to eliminate getting the headache in the first place.

Acupuncture has been shown in studies to help people not only deal with their headaches, but also in helping people prevent headaches or migraines.

The link talks about a few of those studies and how acupuncture is helpful for headache sufferers.

The key to remember is there is an alternative to just suffering through your headache, but in fact there is something you can try to prevent them all together.

When I was a child, I had a history of migraines.  I remember all to well the pain and throbbing associated, and how every sound, light and smell amplified the condition.  I can attest to the fact that acupuncture helped me not only get over my bouts of migraines, but to also prevent them as well.  I can’t tell you how long it has been since I have had a migraine, and I am thankful for that fact.

If you or anybody you know has suffered from chronic headaches or migraines, give me a call and lets discuss if I can help.  Or schedule an appointment to receive a free consultation in my clinic and we can discuss this or any other questions or health concerns you may have.

Be well,

Michael.
