Premier Acupuncture In-Network Insurance Networks

Premier Acupuncture is proud to be a member of Premera Blue Cross, Regence BlueCross Blue Shield, Lifewise of Washington/Oregon, Uniform Medical Plan, Cigna, Aetna, Providence Health Plan, Health Net Oregon, and Puget Sound Health Network.  Within the next few weeks, United Health will be added to that list.

When inquiring about your own insurance benefits, call the phone number on the back of your insurance card for member services or benefits/eligibility.  Upon calling, ask the representative if you have any acupuncture benefits under your current plan.  Other things worth asking about are how many treatments are allowed per year, are there any limitations, or is your problem/condition is covered under your acupuncture benefits.

It can seem daunting to deal with insurance companies, so if you don’t want to bother with that, feel free to give me a call and I can inquire on your behalf to find out your insurance benefits so you don’t have to.  Just give me a call at 360-892-4355 and I will be glad to help you out.

Be well,

Michael

Acupuncture and your health insurance

In the past few years, many if not all of the major health insurance companies in America have been offering some level of acupuncture benefits in their plans.  Now not every plan has acupuncture benefits, but it’s always a good idea to call your carrier and find out exactly what your benefits include .

Your plan may include, acupuncture, chiropractic, or massage and you may not have known.  The truth is, health companies would prefer people use alternative care treatments as opposed to going to see their doctor often times because it is a cheaper pay out for them often.

So check the back of your insurance card and call the number on the back to see if you have any acupuncture benefits.  Sometimes they lump all of their alternative care treatments together, but that’s good too.  If they don’t offer you any treatments under your plan, ask them why not and if it costs any extra to get it added.

All the best,

Michael
